Middle Schoolers in a Line

They are not individualists.
I see them processed and packaged
like meat, a clump on a freezer
shelf, the cheap kind.

But really, the cheap kind
was always the most logical.
Temporary consumption
of food for a longer period
of surplus capital.

Logic, I tell you.
They are in blissful logic.
